F-84F THUNDERSTREAK
In 1954 U.S. Air Force fighter units were equipped with the Thunderstreak, built by the Republic Aircraft Corp., now a division of Fairchild Hiller. It was the first USAF swept-wing fighter-bomber, but its high performance and versatility qualified it for interception and escort missions. A total of 2,711 were built.
